Prototype reference: The interactive prototype demonstrates most of the flows described in this section. ASCII wireframes below document production specifications and edge cases beyond what the prototype covers. Where the prototype and spec differ, the prototype reflects the more recent design decision.
The Anime Atlas system organizes around two distinct UX spaces:
| Space | Purpose | Location | Primary Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| Explorer Card | Earned identity showcase | Atlas Overlay → Legend Tab | Express genre expertise through frames, titles, pins, radar chart |
| Atlas System | Discovery & progress | Atlas Overlay (via My Lists tab) | Navigate content, track progress, chart milestones |
Crunchyroll’s existing Account tab handles general profile settings (avatars, backgrounds, subscription management). Atlas-specific identity lives on the Explorer Card — keeping earned rewards visually and conceptually separate from auto-granted customization.
Platform priority: Mobile native app (portrait) primary, TV/console secondary, web tertiary.
