Atlas identity customization lives on the Explorer Card within the Legend Tab of the Atlas overlay — intentionally separate from Crunchyroll’s Account profile. Crunchyroll already provides IP-themed avatars and backgrounds to all subscribers; Atlas earned rewards (frames, titles, pins) are more meaningful in a dedicated space that signals genre expertise. The Account tab continues to handle standard profile settings.
The Explorer Card serves as the user’s earned identity showcase — frame, title, featured pins, genre radar chart, and optional background. It answers “Who am I as an anime fan, and what have I discovered?”
| Explorer Card | CR Account Profile | |
|---|---|---|
| Customization | Frames, titles, pins, backgrounds (earned) | Avatars, backgrounds (auto-granted) |
| Purpose | Showcase genre expertise | Manage account settings |
| Shareability | Designed as a shareable “trading card” | Standard profile |
Note on wireframes below: The ASCII wireframes in this section were authored prior to the Explorer Card decision and show customization on the Account tab. The prototype demonstrates the current Legend Tab implementation. Production specs should follow the prototype’s placement.
Scope: The Explorer Card is strictly an identity showcase — earned customization only. Account settings, system navigation, and claiming flows remain in their respective locations.
The Account tab structure places identity elements above all settings, creating immediate visual impact when users access their account.
